Afternoon Tea in London

こんな素敵なインテリアのティールームでアフタヌーンティーしました。
ガイドブックに載っているところは、どこも予約がいっぱいで、やっと見つけたのがここ。サンドイッチもスコーンもケーキも、もちろん紅茶もすべて、ほんと美味しくって、心から感動してしまいました。

リッツやブラウンズや有名どころに憧れるけれど、何気に次もここを選ぶような気がします。

I had "Chic and Shock Afternoon tea" at The Connaught Hotel in London. The interior design was very nice.

I'd love to try famous afternoon tea such as The Ritzs and The Browns, however I have a feeling I will choose this tea room again on my next visit to London.

ロンドンのボタン専門店。ラブリーなボタンが沢山壁にディスプレイされていました。

とても印象的だったのは、店員さんが初老のおじさまだったこと。とってもジェントルマンで素敵でした。イギリス人の男性って皆、こんなジェントルマンなのでしょうか？？

被っていたベレー帽に付けたいのだと伝えると、一緒に選んでくれました。楽しいひとときでした。

This is a lovely shop which sells buttons in London. Many kinds of beautiful buttons were displayed on the wall.

It was impressive both of middle-aged male shop assistants were gentlemanlike. One of them helped me to choose a button for my hat. It was fun!

まだまだ続くロンドン旅日記・・・

日本で大人気のキャスキッドソン。
今回の旅行では、あえて行かないでおこうと思っていたのですが、たまたま見つけたので入ってみたら、結構長居してしまいました。悩みに悩み、お友達へのお土産を買ったのでした。水色に赤という店構えがラブリー。

それにしても、キャスキッドソンのバッグを持っているロンドナー見なかったな。

I happened to find Cath Kidston's shop in London.
Cath Kidston is very popular among young women in Japan.  I stayed here for two hours!  And I bought some presents for my friends.
I wonder if it's popular in England, too.
